Have the individual lay down relaxed on the right side with the head in a slight flexion on an elevated pillow. Also, place a small elevation under the lower legs to facilitate the movement chain with a lateral flexion to the left and flexion. Palpate the Crista Iliaca and locate L4-L5.
The processi transversum of the lower lumbar vertebrae are located at the level of the interspinous space between the processi spinosus of both vertebrae. The right processus transversus of L5 is pushed ventrally in relation to L4.
The left processus transversus of L4 is also pushed ventrally to perform the rotation component of the C typology. This results in L4 performing a rotation to the right in relation to L5. The compression of the therapist's thorax is directed to the right and dorsally, with both hands supporting the lateral flexion to the left, consistent with the C typology.
